A few weeks ago, I sent you a letter letting you know we had updated and rebranded our Village of Hope Romania website so that we can bring you more up to date news, real-time stories, and videos of our work in Romania.

VillageOfHopeRomania.org. The good news is – we have seen an uptick in traffic on our website!

If you haven’t already done so, please take 5 minutes to browse the new website and share it with your family, friends, church group, co-workers, or anyone that you know who has a passion to help children caught in a cycle of poverty, abuse, and at-risk for human trafficking.

This family is an example of a family who needs our help each month to survive.

This family is from the a small village. D and M, the parents, are doing everything they can to care for their four children—A (10), D (4), N (14), and R (7)—but the road they are on is incredibly difficult.

A has been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and epilepsy. D, at just four years old, has autism. The boys, N and R, are in school, but both struggle with speech and learning difficulties.

A, despite being enrolled in a special education program, cannot attend school because of her severe anxiety and inability to adapt to the environment. The simple act of taking a bath is overwhelming for her, leading to panic and distress despite being on medication.

Her father, D, is her personal attendant and struggles daily to care for her. M, the mother, also serves as a personal attendant for D. Both girls are unable to communicate verbally and rely on non-verbal cues to express their needs.

The family’s living conditions are grim. They live in a small, government-supplied home with just two cramped rooms. The kitchen also serves as a living space, and the moldy, damp air fills the room, creating a harsh environment for the children.

What makes their situation even more heartbreaking is that A and D desperately need specialized therapies—play therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy. But these treatments are extremely expensive and largely inaccessible for this family.

This family’s story is one of deep struggle, but it is also a call for hope—and that’s where you come in.

WE URGENTLY NEED 100 NEW DONORS who will commit to giving $55.00 per month to provide a package of essential food, hygiene items, medicines and other supplies to the G family and the 220 children and families we support each month.

The more you share what we are doing – the more impact we can have when people like YOU join our fight and help us by donating $55.00 each month.

Please “spread the word” about our work and ask your family, friends and church group to go to our website, join the fight, and support us financially.

It costs 20,000 Euros per month to run the Village of Hope Headquarters in Timisoara, pay our staff, and provide families like the Gehrman’s with the help they need.

We have a team of therapists and social workers who can provide the help Ana Maria and Denisa desperately need. This month I am asking you to send your most generous gift of $50.00. . . $100.00. . . $250.00. . . or $500.00 to help us cover these overheads.

Your kindness and compassion can be the light that guides this family out of darkness and into a brighter future.

Changing lives together,
