PROVIDING HOPE FOR A FAMILY OF EIGHT THIS THANKGIVING!

When I travelled to The Village of Hope headquarters’ in June this year, I was able to visit with a number of the most vulnerable families that we serve each month and provide food, clothing, medical assistance and essentials to live.

One of those families was the “H” family (name withheld for protection) where a mother and father live and sleep in one small room with eight children ages 15 to 2 years of age. The home had no kitchen, just an 8’ X 8’ space, with a dirt floor, an old 2-ring burner and a partial roof that served as a cooking area for the family.

Now, as the holidays draw near, our hearts turn toward Christmas—a time to share warmth, joy, and the love of Christ with children who have known far too much struggle and far too little celebration. For many of them, this will be the only gift they receive all year.

Through your support, The Village of Hope Romania team were able to help this family, repair their roof, and build a small, fully enclosed kitchen before the cold, winter months set in.

This month, we will replace the dirt floor with a solid concrete foundation that will keep their children warm and safe this winter. Every improvement reminds them that life can change—because someone cared enough to help.

As Christmas approaches, we’re reminded that miracles happen not just through gifts, but through those who sustain the mission behind them. Beyond toys and stockings, there is the daily work—feeding families, repairing homes, providing medical care, counseling, and education.

This vital work requires your faithful financial support to help us cover our monthly operational costs of $20,000 per month.
