As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to share the story of the Danciu family, a story of resilience, love, and the vital support made possible by your generosity. For several years now, this family has been part of The Village of Hope Romania, receiving monthly care packages that help them meet basic needs and provide hope during difficult times.
27-year-old Mirela Danciu, is a dedicated mother caring for six young children. The youngest was born this past February. Mirela’s husband, Ion, is a 48-year-old day laborer, working tirelessly in construction whenever work is available. Despite Ion’s best efforts, the family struggles to make ends meet.
For years, The Village of Hope Romania has been there for the Danciu family, offering consistent support through our monthly assistance program. These care packages provide food, clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies—essentials that are often out of reach for families living in poverty. The children have also attended our summer camps, where they receive personal development, guidance, and a chance to simply enjoy being kids.
This Christmas, the Danciu children will receive gifts from The Village of Hope Romania —an experience that fills their hearts with joy and brings smiles to their faces. For many children, the gifts we provide will be the only gift they receive this Christmas.
As you prepare to gather with your loved ones this Thanksgiving, please take time to pray for the families and children we support each month in Romania and send your “best gift” this week.
$50.00 . . . will provide a child with a Christmas gift that includes a Bible storybook, toys, and chocolates.
$75.00 . . . will provide a child with a winter coat, boots, gloves, hat, scarf, and leggings to protect them from the cold.
$150.00 . . . will supply a family with one month’s worth of food, clothing, hygiene products, and medical supplies.
