In My Last Letter I Told You We Had Just Received REAL TIME News About A Critical Situation…

In my last letter I told you we had just received REAL TIME news about a critical situation involving a young 18-year-old girl from Romania who had been trafficked in France, and for whom Francisc needed to secure vital documentation.

We learned this young girl was picked up by the French authorities and had been living in a government-run facility for some time. When human trafficking victims reach 18 years of age, they are considered adults, and must transition out of the facility and reintegrate back into society.

To continue to receive government assistance in France, counseling, and rehabilitation services, and find a suitable place for her to live where she won’t be abused or trafficked a second time, the French authorities required proof of her identity.

So, they contacted us, and Francisc embarked on a long journey, traveling 6 hours each way from our base in Timisoara to Craiova, Romania, to obtain her birth certificate. Our team then sent it to France via DHL mailing services to make sure the victim received it in a timely manner.

The Village of Hope Romania/GTR is recognized by the International Social Services in the EU, and they often reach out to us for assistance with obtaining birth certificates, reuniting families, and managing trafficking cases that involve Romanian children who have been trafficked in France.

Our involvement in this case is just one example of how we strive to support individuals in need, helping them to establish a solid foundation for their futures. This commitment is at the heart of our mission to provide not just immediate relief, but long-term support and assistance.

This month I’m asking you to help us with the following things:

• Your gift of $70.00 will purchase summer clothes for a child: shorts, T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes and a swimsuit.

• Your gift of $55.00 will enable us to continue to provide a package of essential items for a child/family containing food, medicine, and hygiene items.

• Your gift of $110.00 will provide packages for two children and . . .$275.00 will provide 5 packages for the children.

Whatever your gift, large or small, your partnership is ital to our work, and together we can continue to make a difference in the lives of the children.

Changing lives together,
