The trash-covered floors. The spoiled food. The children left alone.
*names have been changed to protect the identities of families
March 15, 2026
Two weeks ago, we shared with you the story of a young family who had just entered our support program—a mother and father and their five small children living in heartbreaking conditions.
You may remember the details. The trash-covered floors. The spoiled food. The children left alone. And the devastating discovery that their two-year-old son did not even have a birth certificate—meaning, in the eyes of the state, he did not exist.
Today, we want to share what has happened since.
Because of your support, we were able to walk closely with this family—not just with words, but with action. The birth certificate was issued. The little boy is now legally documented and protected. His identity is secured. His future is safer.
But something else has changed too.
Our continued visits have brought accountability and encouragement. The home is being kept cleaner. The children are being supervised more carefully. The mother is beginning to understand the seriousness of her responsibility and the risks her children face if neglect continues.
Change does not happen overnight. Patterns built over years take time to correct. But we are seeing something important: willingness.
And willingness is where transformation begins.
This family remains under our regular supervision. We are helping them stabilize their home environment, monitoring the children’s safety, and guiding the parents toward healthier routines. The goal is not simply survival—it is long-term protection and dignity for every child in that house.
Yet while this one child now “exists” in the eyes of the law, there are 270 children and 75 families who depend on us every month for protection, food, medicine, and essential care—especially as winter continues to press hard across Romania. This Easter, we want to give the children something greater—hope. Right now we are preparing Easter baskets for 270 children filled with a Bible storybook, a stuffed animal, spring clothing, and Easter treats.
Would you help us make sure no child is left out?
• $65 provides 1 child an Easter basket
• $130 provides two children Easter baskets
• Any amount helps us reach each child in need
Your generosity will remind these children that they are loved, that they matter, and that God has not forgotten them.
Thank you for standing with us.
With gratitude,
