We are so excited to share a heartwarming update with you. Debby Gass, our CEO, and her friend Rebecca, have just returned from their visit to our headquarters in Timișoara, Romania. It was a deeply meaningful trip. The reunion with Debby, Mariana, Francisc, and our dedicated team was filled with hugs, emotion, and powerful moments of reconnection.
Over their time together, they visited the families we serve, hosted conversations inside our center, and traveled to the rural villages where our team brings monthly support. It was especially moving for Debby to see how the vision she and Bob started over 30 years ago has grown—and to meet children and families whose lives have been changed because of donors like you. We’re working on getting professional photos and videos from Francisc to share with you soon, but for now, you can follow updates on our website—and very soon, on our social media as we prepare to launch our new digital outreach!
Help Us Launch Summer Camp 2025!
As July begins, so does one of the most anticipated programs of the year—Summer Camp! Starting June 30, we will host children each week for five weeks, giving them a break from hardship and the opportunity to just be kids.
Summer camp at our Călacea facility offers a wide-open yard for games, water activities to beat the heat, and staff who pour their hearts into making this week unforgettable. Many children who attend come from villages and homes where joy is scarce. Camp becomes a time of healing, friendship, and confidence-building—especially for those attending for the first time, who are both nervous and excited about this big step.
