As the final buses pulled away from Summer Camp 2026, 140 children returned home carrying much more than bags filled with crafts and memories. They left with new friendships, growing confidence, and the reassurance that they are loved, valued, and capable of building a brighter future.
Because of your generosity, these children experienced a safe place to laugh, learn, grow, and simply be kids. For many, it was the highlight of their year. Thank you!
But our work doesn’t end when summer ends!
In just a few weeks, children across Romania will return to school. For many of the families we serve, purchasing school supplies, backpacks, clothing, and shoes is simply impossible.
This year, The Village of Hope Romania will help 257 children begin the new school year with confidence by providing everything they need to succeed.
It will cost . . . $38,550 ($150 per child). . . to provide 257 children with everything they need to return to school.

Ready for Success – $150
Provide a complete back-to-school package—including
a backpack, school supplies, clothing, shoes, and a winter jacket—giving one child everything they need for a successful school year.
Ready to Grow – $85
Help provide new school clothing, sturdy shoes, a sweater, and a warm winter jacket so a child can walk into school with confidence and dignity.
Ready to Learn – $35
Help fill a backpack with notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, art supplies, and the essential school supplies every child needs to begin the school year ready to learn.
