When we visited the Ionescu family in the village of Satchinez, just 25 km from Timișoara, we were reminded again of why your partnership is so vital.
The Ionescu family all live together in a small home that is close to collapsing. Inside, a single mother struggles to provide for her children while caring for her 76-year-old mother, who relies on a walker. Her son Radu, just 15, battles mental health challenges that make daily life difficult.
Twelve-year-old Nicolae was born deaf and suffers from serious heart problems, yet still greets us with a smile every time we visit. His 10-year-old twin sisters, Alina and Mirela, try to find joy in simple things, even as their family stretches every resource just to survive.
As school begins this month, we want to make sure children like Nicolae, Alina, and Mirela walk into their classrooms with dignity, dressed in clean clothes and carrying the supplies they need. Here’s how you can help:
• $85 provides school clothes and shoes for one child (pants, shirts, shoes, sweaters, and a winter jacket).
• $35 provides a box of school supplies for one child (textbooks, notebooks, pens, art supplies, and a new backpack).
• $120 covers both clothing and supplies for one child — a full start to the school year.
• $55 per month — Your gift will enable us to provide a package of food, clothing, medicine, and essential items for a child/family.
We cannot do this without you. It takes 20,000 Euro’s per month to run our headquarters in Timișoara. If God has blessed you . . . please consider a gift of $1,000.00 . . . $500.00 . . . or $250.00 to help cover the overhead for one month. Your generosity is what allows us to stand in the gap for children like Nicolae, and families like the Ionescus, who desperately need care and stability.
Together, we can make sure every child starts this school year with dignity, hope, and the tools to thrive.
With gratitude and hope,
